Survey of the political, economic, cultural, and social history of capitalism in colonial British America and the United States, with special attention to property, labor, finance, public policy, ideology, and class relations. Course Information: Same as POLS 246 . Prerequisite(s): ENGL 161 ; or consent of the instructor. Class Schedule Information: To be properly registered, students must enroll in one Lecture-Discussion and one Discussion. UIC GE Past course, and UIC GE US Society course .
